This was an upgrade to an aged and worn-out HTC Aria phone (Android). I was looking for something with more power, but still in a small form-factor that fits in the palm of your hand, like a "normal" phone. This was it! More memory, faster processor, great screen, good battery life. This is a great unlocked GSM phone. I use the ATT Go-Phone, no contract in the USA and I travel a lot to other countries, so now I have total freedom to swap out SIM cards and make inexpensive phone calls, anywhere. Alternative no-contract is T-Mobile. I was at first "put off" by the "yellow" back-plate, but decided to jump in saying I could just paint over it. The phone comes with two back-plates, and one is a more conventional steel-gray, plastic back. I just used that instead. Front face appears to be tough glass, and quite scratch resistant, although I am very gentle with my phone handling.

Product had some issues but nothing major..
Display wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It is very crisp than any other phones but colors are not spectacular and seems washed out.
I switched to Xperia SL to Xperia Arc and even Arc seems to have more accurate colors than SL.

The phone feels very good but the overall build quality is just alright. Quite a lot of dirt might get into edges.

I was quite worried about the embedded battery since it's amount isn't very much (1750mAh) to power dual core processor and HD display.
However, sony did a good job of managing the better life quite well. It will last a full day use with normal usage[web browsing, txting and calling] w/ 50% brightness of the screen.

Snapdragon S3 1.7ghz dual core processor is quite outdated(2011) but the phone itself is pretty fast.
However, the phone has stopped and been non-responsive unexpectedly twice already and it was pretty frustrated since it's battery is embedded.
I don't know what's the deal with unexpected stop and it happens when i watch youtube videos.. hopefully sony will fix this problem by software update or something.

Navigation touch buttons on the bottom of the phone is not really responsive and you kind of have to figure out where the touch sensor is and then once your fingers get used to it, its no problem.

The camera takes little bit longer to capture and focus than such phones that has Snapdragon S4, S4pro, Nvidia Tegra3, Exynos 4412 Quad, A6 processors. (Ex. IPhone5, Galaxy S3, HTC OneX, LG Optimus G)
But the quality of the picture is comparable to any other phones.

Lastly, Design of the phone is the best out of all the other phones in current market right now.
Transparent bar at the bottom makes the phone look distinctive and unique. It's square and arc mixture of design makes it look very sharp, clean, and makes comfortable in your hand.
I would give this phone 3 and a half stars cuz of it's overall build quality and price but since there arnt any option for half star and I'm a sony fan so.. yeah:]
If you are a sony fan and care about the design the most then this is it.

Pros.
-Unique & distinctive design
-Matt finish and rounded arc design makes not slippery and comfortable in your hand.
-Camera
-Battery life
-Clear and loud speaker
-High density pixels(342ppi) HD display

Cons.
-Colors of the display is not as accurate and seems to be washed out.
-Unexpected stop issues
-Non-responsive navigation touch sensor.

Solid phone, but there's a bit of a learning curve to get used to.

Pros:
fast processing, solidly built, good battery life, clear pictures, good phone quality
Cons;
this is my first android phone, but compared to the iphone, it is much less intuitive. Adding contacts, finding voicemails/texts is cumbersome
There's a noticeable delay in snapping photos
Apps and functions are dumped into the same field. Not organized in any intuitive way.

I wanted an unlocked phone so I wasn't stuck with an expensive data plan and use Pay as you Go with ATT instead. I wanted to use the smart functions using the Wifi only, but I learned fast that there's random data service charges for various updates and alerts. I highly recommend disabling data access over the mobile network right away. You can always enable it when you really need it, e.g. in a pinch for directions while on the road.

Overall, it's a good value with all the functionality of the high end smart phones, but it takes some getting used to.

For the price; this phone is great! I think that BLU will have great success. I have the Samsung Galaxy 3 and HTC One X quad core so I know what the best rated phones will do! The Samsung galaxy 3 has terrible battery life and weak WIfI. The One X has great WIFI; great battery and it does not like to switch sim cards. So for me this inexpensive phone is better than the best most expensive phones. It has great battery life and good everything else. The only trump is the camera options are less on the Blu. So I give the BLU Vivo best of the three considering all especially price. I paid over $600 for the Htc one X and have a 2 year contract with the S3. I also am married to an Apple lover and see side by side reality with the GOD of smart phones the Iphone 5 and I have to snicker a little under my breath. I love this phone! Krissboyk@hotmail.com

What's great about it: Great price with upgrade on AT&T.
What's not so great: lack of Android 4.0

This is a very sold performing phone. Yes, it does not have Android 4.0. I have that on my tablet. Is it a deal breaker? Nope. This is a great phone. The keys on the bottom do take half a day to get used to compared to my previous Android phones. On my old Android phones, I would accidentally hit the back key or the home key, not on this phone. Being a decently heavy data user, I get a solid day of battery. I bought the Sony NFC tags and they are cool too. The only negative that I have seen so far with this phone, is lack of accessories. Having no Otterbox is rough, but I'm trying the Dualtekk case and it has already survived a few drops on concrete, (not on purpose.)
The screen is beautiful. I can quickly show many of my pictures from my SD card on the fly. Expandable memory, nothing else to say on that. The camera takes great pics for family fun. The phone is fast with no lags. It pairs very easily with my Motorola S10 Bluetooth headphones. Speakerphone works fine, but I hate using speakerphone on anything. The deciding factor was price. I did the research and wanted a solid phone, but didn't want to pay $200 plus to have a phone and new accessories. Had AT&T upgrade, way cheaper. Phone is worth $550 easily.
I would recommend this phone to anyone.
PROS: battery, screen, metal back, dual core, speed
CONS: no Otterbox case, few accessories

I've owned many phones throughout the years; this is, by far, the BEST PHONE EVER. I have absolutely no negative feedback for it. It's fabulous, it's amazing. The screen is huge, every time I look at someone else's phone, I think to myself, it's so small! I am pretty sure I could download every app available and never run out of space. It's internet is faster than my laptop's internet. It looks expensive and impressive. It's just great. :)

First of all, the other reviewer is correct, the phone is in French with French applications, but I felt like that was not so difficult to fix. You will only be able to use Samsung's French customer service though, good luck with that, haha.

More importantly, apparently unlocked phones can only get up to 2G/Edge network coverage. So, even though this is a 4G capable phone, you will not be able to take advantage of that. I did not see this anywhere on the product information page and I believe this is very important for you to know before you make your purchase. You WILL NOT get 3G/4G.
